Faq’s

  • To join the community at Pilates On The Terrace please create an account with MINDBODY. You can do this through our website under “Book” or through the MINDBODY App (free download from the App Store). MINDBODY is used for all Pilates On The Terrace bookings and purchases.

  • The ideal way to start with Pilates is to join us in the Studio for a Private (1:1) appointment. The equivalent of Pilates personal training this allows the instructor to work directly with you and your body to create the best program to reach your goals.

    If you are jumping straight into group classes, we recommend you start with our Fundamental Reformer class, Align.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your first class so you can meet your instructor and we can introduce you to the studio. Please make sure you let your instructor know if you have any injuries or conditions before the class starts - our experienced instructors can modify and direct you with exercises during the class.

  • There is plenty of free available parking on Charles St and King William St. South Terrace has a thriving café culture, so please allow extra time for parking during peak times. Alternatively, there are bike racks available and the free CAT bus runs every 20mins and stops directly outside the studio.

  • For all classes, you will need your water bottle and grip socks (compulsory for hygiene purposes and available to purchase at the studio). There is a water fountain, should you need to refill your water bottle. Please come dressed in appropriate exercise clothing, allowing you to move freely and comfortably.

  • Please email us prior to booking so we can help you find the appropriate class. We also kindly ask that you provide a clearance from your Health Practitioner stating that you are medically fit to participate in an open group Pilates class.

  • Out of consideration to waitlisted clients we ask that you please cancel your class through MINDBODY at least 6 hours before the class begins.  We do not accept cancellations made by phone, text, email or social media.

  • If the class is full, you will have the option to add yourself to the waitlist. When you sign up to the waitlist you are committing to a place in the class. In the event the place becomes available, you will be notified through MINDBODY by email or text, up to1 hour prior to your class start time. If you fail to respond, MINDBODY will automatically assume your acceptance.  Please remove yourself from the waitlist if you no longer wish to attend.
